The Studio of Dance & Music  “Dance for Joy!” “Make a Joyful Noise!” 379-7765/907-9175   STUDIO NEWS Volume 5 March 12, 2011   DANCE RECITAL COSTUMES Costumes have been ordered for “SHOP ‘TIL YOU DROP”, Dance Recital 2011! The costume balance due date is April 15. The amount of your costume balance due (if any) will appear on your next newsletter or notice. Please note that, because we order from several different companies, not all costumes will arrive at the same time. We may get some as early as mid-April and won’t get others until right before the recital date. Once our orders have been confirmed, we will post pictures of the costumes we have ordered in the Studio lobby.       CONSISTANT ATTENDANCE Our school year culminates in costumed Dance Recitals on June 11. Your teachers may have already started teaching recital choreography or will start teaching it soon. It is imperative that each student attend every dance class or music lesson from now until the end of the school year! When absent, a student misses a lot of important work. Please make consistent attendance a priority so that you will feel CONFIDENT and will ENJOY YOURSELF on stage!!       We hope you enjoyed Spring Break!   TUITION PAYMENTS March Music Tuition and the 6th of 8 Dance Tuition payments were due March 1. April Music Tuition, 7th of 8 and 4th of 4 Dance tuition are due April 1. If it is more convenient for you, mail your payment to one of our locations: 4412 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota 34233 7313 International Pl, Suite 100, Sarasota 34240   REHEARSAL CDs If you would like a copy of the music your class is dancing to in the recital to aid your practice at home, please bring in $1.50 (cash or check) and fill out an order form (pick up from office) and we will make a copy for you. More than one song needed? Add 50 cents per additional song. Maximum charge is $3.00. We can put siblings’ music all on one CD for you. We hope to have all of our music edited and on our computer soon so that we can start filling your orders after Spring Break. Practice makes Perfect!   5th and 10th YEAR TROPHIES Is this your 5th or 10th dance or music recital with us? If so, you are eligible to receive a trophy celebrating that accomplishment. Please check the list posted in the lobby to make sure your name is on the list if you are eligible. STUDENTS IN THE NEWS!
