WELCOME TO THE 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR!

We warmly welcome all of our new students and welcome back our returning students.
We hope that the first few weeks of lessons have been fun and educational for you.

It is our sincere desire to provide you with a dance and/or music education experience that is enriching and rewarding.
Please feel free to speak with us if you have any questions or concerns.

We appreciate your patience…
…as we have made adjustments to the dance and music schedules. They seem to be settling into place now, and any final adjustments should be made by the end of the month. We apologize if this has caused you any inconvenience or confusion. We realize that we cannot make the schedules perfect for everybody, but after much time and effort, we believe that we have made them work as well as possible for the majority of our students. We thank you for your understanding and flexibility.

NEW FACULTY

We are delighted to announce that SARA SCHUH is joining our dance faculty this year. She will teach young children’s classes and may also sub some tap and other classes. Miss Sarah is a former student, competition team member, classroom assistant, and Hazel Lunardo Award of Excellence winner. She has completed her Bachelor’s Degree, and will soon be pursuing her Master’s. We are so happy that, in between these pursuits, she has taken time to share her joy, enthusiasm, and knowledge with our students.

NEW TO OUR STUDIO?

If you are new to our program, you may have some questions about how things operate. Please pick up the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSsheet to get answers. Or check out “FAQ for New Students” on our web site. Or just ask the office staff… we are happy to help.

MUSIC LESSON CANCELLATION POLICY

Please call or text your music teacher if you have a sick child and must cancel his or her lesson. We ask that you give us 24 hour notice if possible, and we require a minimum 6 hour notice. That allows time for your teacher to contact her other students to try to fill in the gap your cancellation creates. You will be charged for the lesson if you do not provide us with at least 6 hours notice. THANK YOU for maintaining consistent attendance, and for being diligent about adhering to this policy.

We thank you for choosing The Studio of Dance & Music to serve your dance and/or music education needs. The study of music and dance enriches our lives and can provide such delight. We believe that it’s about more than dance and music. It’s about motivating young people to be the best they can be. CONFIDENCE, GRACE, DISCIPLINE, POISE, JOY - these are the gifts that we strive to give to our students. These are the qualities every child needs to succeed.

Have a wonderful school year!

Warmest Regards,  Ms Julia
